Sumario:The palm leaf manuscript was created by incising the palm leaf surface with a metal stylus, after which a mixture of lamp black, or lamp soot, plant juices and aromatic oil is applied, making the surfaces readable. The leaves are then pressed and dried. The two holes are for the insertion of a string, so that the manuscript can be held together and the leaves kept in proper order. This is an eight-day devotional, working through Loyola's Exercises. This manuscript also includes an introductin to the Exercises, and a section after the Exercises which are sermons on various toics. Probably 18th century.
