Résumé:This collection contains the personal papers of Dr. Richard Joseph Purcell, focusing on his years as a History Professor at Catholic University. The research notes contained herein are from the history of religion in America, Irish immigration, and various topics in American history. One will also find notes from Purcell's research on the War Production Board of World War II. This collection contains manuscript drafts on various biographies written by Purcell, as well as other historical articles on Irish immigration and the history of religion in America. Lastly, this collection contains Purcell's notes on business law and famous Irish priest Fr. Theobald Matthew, connected to Purcell's research on Irish immigration.
