Summary: | Walton, a native of Scranton, Pennsylvania, served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and later obtained a doctorate at The Catholic University of America (CUA). He taught and wrote extensively on history, political science, and business. The collection has personal correspondence, research on American Business Ethics, and materials from the academic institutions where Walton worked. Included are materials from Columbia University, in particular from the 1968 student strike, and from Walton's tenure as the first lay president of CUA, 1969-1978. There are also photos from his tenure at CUA as well as personal family photographs. |
