Possibly related to Catholic revival movements of the 19th century. Footnote for first prayer: "Our Holy Father Pope Boniface [the eighth] granted at the entreaty of Philip [the fourth] King of France, an indulgence of two thousand years, to all those, who, having confessed & repented of their sins, should say this prayer between the elevation of the body of our Lord & the third Agnus Dei." |
