Below the illustration is a verse in French. The illustration was made by a French artist, V. Regnault. The back of the card has an inscription in Dutch commemorating the death of H.J. Becker in 1873 in Mensingeweer, the Netherlands. The inscription includes a verse from the Book of Tobit and a prayer. Above the inscription is an image of a casket draped in fabric surrounded by four candles. The card was printed by the Dutch printer G.J.
