Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton was canonized on September 14, 1975. Background The Mother Seton Guild Bulletin was a quarterly publication of the Mother Seton Guild, a Church-recognized group supporting the canonization of Elizabeth Ann Seton. The publication was distributed to lay and religious supporters of the Cause to provide history of Mother Seton’s life and updates on the progress of the cause. Beginning in 1941, the year after the Vatican formally accepted the cause for canonization, the publication ran until 1972, when it was renamed the Seton Causeway beginning in 1973. After Mother Seton’s canonization in 1975, the Causeway covered the events of the canonization in Rome and the United States, before re-printing many of its past articles starting in 1976. The last edition of the Causeway was released in 1983. Seton, Elizabeth Ann, Saint, 1774-1821.
