"The... translation... was published probably in 1525 and it is believed never to have been reprinted. This transcription is made from the copy in the British Museum... T.R. 21st July, 1949" "So far as is known there are only two copies known of this work, one in the British Museum which is bound up with a tract of someone else... The second printed version was in the library of the late John Burns and sold in April 1944 with other books of his. Sotheby's catalogue gives the date as 1524 for the Burns copy and state [sic] that the B.M. copy is dated [1526]. Lot 682 Burns sale. L.W. Longstaff, Feb. 1952" |
