Added title page in Italian: Ritratti de' prepositi generali della Compagnia di Gesù delineati, ed incisi da Arnoldo van Westerhout aggiuntivi i brevi ragguagli delle loro vite dal Padre Niccolo' Galeotti sacerdote della medesima Compagnia. Added engraved title page with Jesuit device; 14 portraits engraved by Westerhout, 1 by Westerhout's pupil Jakob Frey, and the last 3 by G. A. Faldoni. Each plate faces a page of text, Latin and Italian in parallel columns (Cf. Backer-Sommervogel). The last 3 portraits dated after 1748. |
