Summary:The Libri Ordinationum spans the years 1861 to 1923 and consists of seven books in one volume. The volume contains ordinances issued by the Father Generals of the Society of Jesus and the Provincial; replies of the Father General to different provinces; solutions to conscience cases; exhortations of Father Generals to the whole society; customs okayed on visits; list of vows pronounced in St. Ignatius 1863-1923; local customs approved by the Provincials; list of men ordained at St. Ignatius; list of the dead; directives of Fr. Sopranis; and various directives of Provincials. Several loose sheets have been tucked into the volume, including an index in English compiled November 1, 1963, and written in a Loyola University examiniation book ('blue book'). Ordinances, directives, exhortations, and lists are in Latin.
