This portfolio contains the text of documents relating to the trial of the Templars for heresy in Poitiers, France from 1307-1314. It includes the minutes of the trial, published by the papal commissioner Bérenger Frédol, two testimonies of Jacques de Molay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar, the testimony of several Templars given in front of Pope Clement V, and Clement V's absolution given to the Templars.
Within the portfolio is 1 volume (251 p.) and a case containing five manuscript facsimiles, a pamphlet signed by Sergio Pagano B., and three seals. The seals are replicas of those used by Frédol, Pierre de las Chapelle-Taillefer, and Pietro Colonna. Facsimiles are of Archivio vaticano manuscripts: A.A. Arm, D 208-210, 217(A), and Reg. Aven. 48
