Cornell, former managing editor of The Catholic worker newspaper and founder of Guadalupe House in Waterbury, Conn. discusses his background with the Catholic Worker Movement and his thoughts on the Movement, the Catholic Church, and social problems. He talks about how he came to the Catholic Worker, his deaconship, and changes in the Catholic Church. He also discusses social action, air raid drill resistance, the Catholic Worker Movement's relationship with the Plowshares movement and the Catholic Worker Movement's role in draft resistance and how the draft helped energize the community.
