He talks about what drew him to work at the Catholic Worker, and his initial experiences with air raid drill resistance and his subsequent jail time. He briefly discusses running a Catholic Worker house in Chicago and dealing with the Catholic Church authorities. He then talks about his decision to leave the Catholic faith. He also discusses his tax resistance at great length, discussing his various methods, his dealings with the IRS, and his prosecution for tax evasion. He also sings a song he wrote and published in The Catholic worker about his encounters with the IRS. Interviewed by Rosalie Riegle Troester. Interruptions in audio present in original recording.
