He discusses writing letters for Day and some controversies she had with some Catholic Workers and members of the Catholic community. He talks about Day's interpersonal relationships and how she could, "read people's souls." He briefly discusses her personal tastes, such as her taste in music. Monica joins and talks about her experiences with Day and how she affected her life. She and Tom talk about some of the difficult times in the Catholic Worker Movement, especially the 1960s. They then discuss Day's death and funeral. They also talk about Day's relationship with her daughter Tamar, and some of the controversies within the Worker about pacifism during World War II.
