In the first interview they describe what drew them to the Catholic Worker, the visits and influence of Dorothy Day, and the types of guests who stayed. The second interview covers why the early St. Louis houses closed during World War II, the Catholic Alliance newspaper, the liturgical movement and the Eucharist. The Carters also share stories of volunteers throughout. Interviewed by Janice Brandon-Falcone.
