Beskrivelse
Summary:The first Medical School building was built on Saint Louis University's original downtown campus, facing Washington Avenue at 10th Street. It was built by Doctor Prather, Dean of the School, in 1842, but it proved to be too small for the growing medical program. Six years after the medical course became active at Saint Louis University, a new, larger building was begun at Seventh and Clark, and the first building was thereafter used for storage and utility purposes.
