सारांश: | This second Medical School building of Saint Louis University was built in 1848 as the first of three sections of the new building, located at Seventh and Clark in St. Louis. Charles Alexander Pope was the Dean of the Medical School and his father-in-law, John O'Fallon, provided the funding for the building of this state-of-the-art edifice. The school separated from the University in 1855 as a result of riots against the Catholic institution. Known as "Pope's College," the school was renamed St. Louis Medical College.
