St. Nicholas' Cathedral, Galway, Ireland. The lion ornament rebus is for the Lynch ("lynx") family, one of the fourteen Norman tribes of Galway. Columbus certainly visited Galway and probably assisted at this cathedral, which is the oldest large church in Ireland. (24 March 1950)
