Quimper, France. Place St-Corentin, in front of the Cathedral, on Sunday morning between Masses. A women with a Bigouden coiffe tilts into the wind. From southwest of Quimper in Finistere, this species of coiffe has grown taller and taller in the memory of living men. (12 August 1951)
