Résumé:Château of Langeais, built by Louis XI in 1460, now property of the institute de France. This was the scene of the marriage of Charles VIII of France and Anne of Brtittany (daughter of François II, Duke of Brittany), in 1491, which united Bretagne and France. This is in Anjou, France, and was part of eighth century Angevin dominions with England. Not much further down the river Loire, Henry II of England, his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, and their son Richard I are buried in the abbey church of Frontevrault. (4 August 1951)
