Sumario:This folder contains two original letters written by Sherrard Clemens. In these letters, Clemens writes to Mary Jane Riddle from Washington, Pennsylvania telling her that there is no evidence of a compromise between her husband Abram Riddle and the heirs of her father (March 28, 1839). Four years later he advises the woman that he has become a lawyer and will attempt to aid her action against her husband, who has consented to a divorce.
