These are friendly letters, as well as letters relating news, opinions, and comments. At the end of the book are prayers and quotations from different sources sent by Fr. Macklin to his relatives, as well as enclosures and excerpts from a letter of Rev. Fr. William, CP, about his sketch of Fr. John. MNAZ 2/7 Duplicate Letter Book, Volume XVIII [May 2, 1930 - September 3, 1973] pp. 1-67 Index. Correspondence: this letter book consists of letters to various mother superiors with numerous letters to Mother Bertrand. These letters are from priests, sisters, lay people, and several letters from Bishop Mulloy in Covington. Letters are thank yous, congratulations, letters providing news and information. There are twenty letters at the end, which are not in any original letter book. These include a copy of a circular letter, program for celebration, tribute to Mother Bertrand, and a letter of appreciation.
