Originally printed between 1514 and 1517 by the press of Arnaldo Guillermon de Brocardo in Alcalá de Henares (Latin name: Complutum) under the direction of Cardinal Francisco Ximenes de Cisneros with the collaberation of Diego López de Zũniga. Vol. 1 contains the Pentateuch in Hebrew, Latin (Vulgate) and Greek (Septuaginat) with Latin interlinear translation; Aramaic (Onqelos) with Latin translation in parallel columns. Vols. 2-4 include the other books of the Old Testament in Hebrew, Greek and Latin. Vol. 5 has the New Testament in Greek and Latin with an appendix of New Testament names, a Greek-Latin lexicon of the NT, Ecclesiasticus (Ben Sira) and Sapientia Salomonis. Vol. 6 contains a Hebrew-Latin and Latin-Hebrew dictionary, an etymological dictionary of proper names of the Bible, and a Hebrew grammar. Accompanied by Anejo a la edición facsímile de la Biblia políglota complutense (70 p.) containing historical and background information. Bound in tan leather, gold tooling on spine. |
