Head- and tail-pieces with miniature framed engravings depicting scenes with Christ and Mary and Biblical figures (pages 1, 21, 203, 316, 452, 506); signature catch-words; tail-piece at end of Avis au lecteur encloses coat of arms (of Madame la Chancelière?) with crown and fleur de lis on top with leaves and fronds surrounding it; on title page, framed engraving of the trinity (?) depicting an orb with the tetragrammaton in Hebrew letters at top surrounded by rays; Golgotha with crucifix; at bottom the Holy Spirit as a dove (?) with outspread wings.
Dedicated to Madame la Chancelière [Madame Pierre Séguier, dite madame la chancelière (1599-1683)] by J.-J. E. Collombat.
Author according to Avis au lecteur: "Il est nouveau par les soins qu'ont pris Messieurs Cousin, Pelisson & autres habiles , de remanier toutes les Prieres & les Traductions françoises ..."
