| Item Description: | Described as Editio secunda auctior & correctior; unable to locate an earlier edition although a much longer work by Joanne Jennyn with a similar title and content but different subtitle was published in Brussels in 1666 and Bruges in 1649: Vera confraternitas Sanctissimae Trinitatis de Redemptione Captivorum Idea, Originem, Propagationem, Indulgentias, Privilegia, et Regulas eius complectens. Title page vignette; frontispiece engraving of S. Ioannes de Matta and S. Felix de Valois, Fundatores Ord. SSS Trinitatis. Head- and tail-pieces; initials; includes bibliographic citations; footnotes. Author unnamed, but dedication is by P. Maurus à Conceptione, Commissarius Generalis. A history of the Trinitarian order but laity of both sexes were included in the order from the very beginning of the order and this work is addressed to the laity of the Trinitarian Confraternity.
