"Note: the height of grass in the yard. We stood on brick walk. This picture was taken after our beloved friend Rev. John A. Clark, S.J.J., had asked me to open the window up in the theatre in order that Rev. Mother Katharine Drexel could get some fresh air. This, as I recall, was done in latter part of July or first of August, 1918. This...is where Rev. Mathis stayed and sweat it that summer, as I recall." Submitted, Maurice M. Martinez, Feb. 8, 1971. |
