Portrait of Reverend John Joseph Plantevigne. Rev. Plantevigne (Oct. 22, 1871-Jan. 27, 1913) was a Catholic priest who attended Straight College in New Orleans, LA, was ordained in 1907, and was the Last Black Louisiana ordained a priest until 1934.
