Collation: Paper, fol. i + 159 (fol. 17-157 paginated 1-226) + i; 1-19⁸ 20⁸(-5, with loss of text); quires signed A-R; horizontal catchwords.
Layout: Written in 9 long lines of text running underneath staves (9 per page); ruled in dry point; prickings in margins.
Script: Written in late-gothic script.
Decoration: fol. 10, illustration showing the realtionship among the hexachords (echoing the shape of an organ); 1-2 line initials in blue and red.
Music: Red 4-line staves with black square notation.
Origin: Written in Northern Italy in about 1597.
