Chaps talks about what drew him to the Catholic Worker and tells many stories and anecdotes about the personalities, sometimes difficult, he encountered at the houses, and life at each. He also describes mealtime and the importance of the houses in their respective neighborhoods. He refers to Margaret Garvey of the Davenport Catholic Worker and Father Frank Cordaro throughout.
