Item Description:Lacks t.p. Title and imprint from license to print given by Father Philippus Rosa Lanzi, Inquisitor General, to Typographia Balleoniana; dated in Venice September 20, 1765. A second license, granted by Father Philippus Rosa Lanzi for the same press in Venice to publish Breviarium Romanum ex Decreto Sacrosancti Concilii Tridentini restitutum ...., is found on the verso of Oratio a Papa Urbano VIII. edita (p. cclxxv).
Text consists of Officia propria taken from the 1764 edition of Breviarium Romanum collated with the Officia propria for the city and diocese of Venice. Text is divided into the four seasons of the church year (pars hiemalis, pars verna, pars aestiva, pars autumnalis). Includes votive offices. Does not include Office for the Dead.
Pagination and signatures for the leaves taken from the Breviarium Romanum are repetitious for the seasons. The text for each season begins around page 200 in Roman numerals with signatures beginning with Ll or Mm except for Pars autumnalis which begins with signature Hh and p. cciiii. The Officia propria were printed at the end of the volume for each season in the Breviary. Pagination and signatures for the Offica propria for the city of Venice begins with p. 1 for each season, but the signatures are continuous: A, B-D, E, F.
